Week 12 in Pierson Land

Hello Art Believers!!!

Today or more specifically this weeks blog means I am officially caught up with all my daily drawings. Scratch that, I actually have one self portrait to do for the beginning of week 13, but aside from that I have no self made obligations as far as drawings are concerned.  This all started when I went to Florida and pretty fast I had missed a few days of my regular drawing.  Now I was 3 hours in the hole and I kept treading above water, catching up just enough so that I would not be forever behind.  So all I need to do now is one last self portrait for this Sunday and I will be officially up to date on my drawings.  I am very happy I didn't just say "Fuck it" and figuratively hit the restart button, but I do have to say it is a huge pain to maintain a drawing pace like this and not get paid for it.

This week I drew Blastoise, a creature off of Poke'mon.  This week will mean I have drawn the first 9 Poke'mon, next week I am drawing Caterpie, which is basically a caterpillar.  As always I drew my 7 self-portraits for the week, some good, some bad, some good and bad. Enjoy week 12 of my blog, Pierson-Land.

Week 11 in Pierson Land

Hello Art Believers!!!

🍔🍟🍔🍟🍩🍗🍕🍣🍤🍟🍖🍔🍔🍔🍔😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😁😁😁😉😃😃😁

This week filled with Wartortle drawings for my digital drawings, seven self-portraits and prince drawing. Still playing catch up with my daily drawings, and my art productivity schedule as well.  Kind of frustrating but I think I am back up to speed.  My biggest issue I am having right now I am on a videogame tear like none other. My game of choice is Destiny.  RPG's are a time consuming beast.  Plus they tend to mess up your sleep schedule. Clash of Clans is another game of interest.  But games are an incredible time suck.  Seriously they are so fun, but they wreak have on being productive.  Enjoy the work.

Week 10 in Pierson Land

Hello Art Believers!!!

Recently  I went on a trip to Florida.  Ate seafood (fried Grouper), rolled around in the waves of the ocean and saw an Art Fair.  "Oh" I also ate probably close to 30 cookies, they were delicious by the way.  Now I am writing about this because as an Artist you have to constantly struggle with time management.  For me personally when I am on a roll, it get incredibly productive, but when I have to stop what I am doing I tend to take a long while to get back up to full speed.

This is what I am experiencing at the moment.  I was gone for about 4 days and literally lost all momentum.  But slowly I am catching back up.  So for this month I decided to do portraits done with pen. More specifically prisma color marker and using an extra fine shape pen.  the strategy was to use the prisma color marker to make a rough sketch of myself and then to use the extra fine shape marker for delicate lines.  Later iterations of the strategy I begin to use different color markers, namely yellow. I did this more so because I ran out of the color blue I was using and the next blue marker I had was simply too dark to create an under drawing.

In the future you might start to see more written words in my sketchbook.  That is because I have begun journaling my ideas more in my sketchbooks.  A little side note the first portrait for this week has comedian Drew Lynch's signature on the top right.

This weeks digital drawing consists of poorly drawn Squirtle's and cartoon character from Poke'mon. Please enjoy this weeks installment of Pierson-Land, Week 10.

Week 9 in Pierson Land

Hello Art Believers!!!

I have had a crazy few weeks. So hectic I have been unable to work on my blog. I am not going to lie, it is partially due to laziness, but I was still able to draw my daily portraits and digital work.  Although I had to play a bit of catch-up.   This journey I have set up is quite difficult.  Doing two drawings a day, painting and daily life has become a huge juggling act.  I am grateful I have been able to keep up.

That being said my digital work progress has improved at a snail pace.  I'm going to research how-to increase my productivity in digital drawing.  This week particularly I had more time to work on my digital drawings, which is why some of them look more refined.  I enjoyed drawing Charizard, had a blast messing around with the teeth and jaw.  I learned from the experience and that's all I can ask for. My self-portraits are "meh".  They are going alright, slow improvements.

Enjoy this belated blog post.
